The American Heart Association (AHA) decided to relocate from the greater Washington, D.C. area to Arlington, Virginia. They needed a space in an office building that was easily accessible, represented the organization and was affordable.
CCSI collaborated with the client and architect during the bid process to reduce cost and keep the integrity of the design. Existing light fixtures were reused to save cost. Occupancy sensors were installed for energy efficiency. CCSI coordinated with property management to ensure all aspects of the project affecting the building, including core drills in post-tension concrete, EMS controls and tie-in to life safety systems, were successfully completed without impacting other tenants in the building.
Standard materials were used creatively and elegantly, and the space was constructed on budget and schedule. Due to the quality of construction for AHA, CCSI was retained by the property management company to perform additional work in the building. |
